Thought I'd save a little money worth a refurbished model since we loved the one we bought new, and keep a device out of the landfill or whatnot. Little did I know I'd receive a power cord that looked like it had been chewed on and was not working. Split open right before the connector housing, bent connector, bite marks. Plugged it in and nothing. A USB cord should be replaced if it looks like this one did to be "certified".If you don't want to gamble, buy the new one.Also, dead batteries for the remote? Come on! I wouldn't have complained about not having them at all, since it's a refurbished unit, but don't throw two dead batteries loose in the box and consider it done and dusted!Update: Amazon immediately reached out to me to ask about the issue, and are very apologetic about the issues. The representative was unsure why it happened, but thinks the unit slipped through QC. They made it right.
