If you love ballet and dance, this is for you

Without giving away any details I just need to say how much I love this movie and the show. I love that it touches on what it means to have your heart in dance even when it’s not something you can personally do (as pointed out when any dancer doesn’t make the cut for something). I don’t care that it’s marked( I think as a kids movie?) the way it is. Anyone who has an appreciation for dance and ballet specifically will enjoy this. The actresses and actors are awesome. The dancing is beautiful. The continuing storyline from the show is fantastic. Side note-I would love to see them do a spin-off show with one of the characters!

Somewhat disappointing

This afterthought offering doesn't have the freshness and electric charge of the first couple of years. I found the directions of the characters after graduation disappointing, as well as hard to believe. While there were a few good story lines, overall, this final "comeback" was more of a confused rehash and out-of-character plot lines. The actors, while they were the original cast, could not entirely overcome the weak story lines and scripts. In addition, this part of the series had a five-year high-school reunion feeling--as though the actors had all moved on and were just going through some familiar motions of past years. Still, it is worth watching to round out the entire series and there are enough good performances and decent plot lines to recommend watching the production. It could have been so much more. This will probably be a "one and done" viewing experience for most of us. Sadly, borrowing from a noted poet, this dance world series ends not with a bang, but a tired whimper.

Amazing Epilogue to a Great Show

I loved the show and I loved the movie. I just cannot get enough of these characters. Especially Benster/Benstar. He is my hero.
The dancing is gorgeous and the plotline is terrific. I loved where they took each of the characters' stories (though I did wonder about what happened to Grace even though I never liked her in the show). I only wish that Sammy could have been there with them all in the end.

The Comeback movie really delivered! Parts of the movie made me cringe, because I was so scared that Tara would get hurt again and they just had to make those crunching sounds ehhh. But the storyline was amazing and that ending! OMG! If your a fan of the TV series this is a must watch movie. If you have not watched the TV series go and do that first, because there are a few things like the two who do the dance in the showcase at the end you will not get if you haven't watched the TV show first. Beautiful! LOVED IT!!! <3!!!

but was happy with the ending

I couldn't wait for the DVD to be released so I actually rented it from Amazon Prime Video. I have watched all of the TV shows through Amazon Video and was thrilled to see there was another movie. I won't reveal any spoilers, but was happy with the ending. The movie was good, but would have preferred another full season of the show. Would be nice to watch them develop and grow. I love watching them dance and would have liked to see more of that, but seriously NOT disappointed!

not entirely underwhelming

as a stand-alone movie this is pretty trash. not the worst movie i've ever seen, but not great. however, having watched the preceding 3 seasons of the show, i must admit that this hits. the quality of the footage is much better, and whoever was in charge of coloring and costumes should definitely be payed more than they probably were. the flashback/trauma scenes were overproduced and i could've done without the drowning imagery, though; let's be honest, this is a post-high school teen dance drama, not an A24 film. the amount of hand-held shots made for a frenzied unrest that added to the story. wouldn't jump out of a moving car to see it again, but who am i kidding, i'll probably end up rewatching. soundtrack was surprisingly decent.

Extremely Slow Moving....

I cant believe this movie got such high ratings. It is terribly slow moving. The preview is misleading as it portrays a very exciting script. I have watched all the previous seasons and have thoroughly enjoyed those, but this one is truly a disapointment.

If you liked the series, this movie won't disappoint

The series was great and this movie sequel was just as enjoyable as the series. It picks up some time after the series end and follows the cast into their careers, through trials and successes. The only part I could have skipped is the bit with Kat. It was nice to see everyone else though.
