About Eric Schrotenboer
Eric is an author, filmmaker, composer, and Bible teacher. Eric lives in Grand Rapids, MI with his wife and two children, Meryn and Judah. He is a storyteller at heart and loves telling stories through books, film, and music.
Eric's passion is helping people better understand the historical, geographical, and cultural context of the Bible. He loves helping people fall more deeply in love with Jesus and God’s word by leading study trips to the lands of the Bible through his ministry, The Acacia Project, and with the resources he creates through Fresh Wind Studios.
Eric is the founder of Fresh Wind Studios which creates and publishes resources for kids and families. Eric and his wife Meredith are the authors of The Youngest DIsciple and The Mouse in the Manger. They created the award-winning Christmas resource, The Wandering Wise Men Activity Set, that includes a rhyming children’s picture book, a 37-day family devotional, and 3 plush wise men toys. Eric and Meredith are also the authors of Hear, O Little One: In the Morning and in the Evening, a flip board book based on Deuteronomy 6:4-9.
Along with books, Eric creates documentaries and writes music for films. He has six piano albums of traditional hymns set in contemporary arrangements.
