SCRIPT:
Man sits on bed in poorly lit room - no dialog
Man puts on ugly cowboy hat - no dialog
Man walks into living room - again poorly lit - still no dialog
Man tiptoes over to sleeping mom and takes car keys - no dialog
Woman wakes but makes no movement - no dialog
Man is driving on dark street - no dialog
Man is sitting in car in front of honkytonk - no dialog
???
REALLY? IS THIS A SILENT MOVIE or did everyone forget to pay their SAG dues so they can't have any speaking parts?
Cops come up to man in car - FINALLY some dialoge, but poorly done, overacted and appears to be written by someone who is Anti-Police. Law enforcement are made out to be brainless, powerhungry bullies for no apparent reason.

Although we continued to watch, hoping for improvement, it never came. At half-way we gave up and counted our blessings for not wasting any more time on this.

A heartwarming movie about redemption, forgiveness & starting over.
Verified purchase
I absolutely LOVED this movie! It has a great storyline & great actors. It centers around redemption, forgiveness & starting over. It's a beautifully written movie with a heartwarming message ❤ & anybody that can't see or appreciate what this movie conveys & the beautiful message about righting wrongs, forgiveness, redemption & finding one's way is obviously not the "sharpest knife in the drawer"! There are way too many downright stupid movies made these days that are geared for idiots to watch! They offer no substance whatsoever. "Soda Springs", however, is an exceptional movie that "intellectuals" can relate to! This movie is definitely well worth watching! A well earned 5-star rating❣👍👍

Soda Springs - what a wonderful and powerful movie,,

I liked the movie so much that in parts I felt tears coming down my face. The story line was excellent, the
actors did a wonderful job at acting. The movie had a feel good ending and that is what people need in their lives now. The music was tremendously good. It has become a favor movie of mine now.
Congratulations on a powerful movie. Signed: Doris Thomas from Louisville, KY

Oh so slow

Besides some beautiful scenery this movie moves so slow my hair grew two inches. The story line is great. The acting besides that of the horse is terrible. On to the next....

Two hours of my life I’ll never get back but wish I could.

Don’t waste your time. This is one of the worst movies I’ve seen in years. It’s two hours of my life I’ll never get back but wish I could. The the story line and characters are likable enough but the writing and directing are simply horrible. The dialog is so bad I was laughing in scenes that weren’t intended to be funny. The movie started slowly and never picked up. Tom Skerritt is listed as a featured actor but doesn’t show up until 2/3rds through the film and only then in a bit part that’s also poorly written and directed.

Plot holes a truck could drive through, and unexplained magical Hispanic character
Verified purchase
I wanted to like this movie, I did, because the scenery/cinematography is lovely, and the lead actors are excellent.

But the story just doesn't make sense, and the magical old man makes less.

I want those 2 hours of my life back.

Where was the plot line?
Verified purchase
A passable plot at the outset, but then nearing the turning point, the hero is entrapped into a rape scenario and then… nothing, no more mention of it. It is as if the editor meant to cut it out but then forgot. It had potential but the story line ended in a completely scattered unconnected group of scenes. Don't bother!
