Love the show and hope they bring it back for season two. Irreverent humor set against some historical detail and decent enough acting. My only complaint would be the actors need to get consistent with the accents. Madame du Poitiers' accent was probably the worst of them all. She says "Henri" different ways with every breath. Or one moment they're calling young Catherine 'Doo-Kay-Si-nah,' next they're call her Doo-Che-Si-nah. Such things can take you out of the story world. I suppose it's relatively factual, but it certainly sparked my interest to do more research into these characters, who, as it turns out, truly existed. Also very interesting to learn about the Religion Wars between Italy, France, Spain and England and all the wheelin' and dealin' that took place in the name of the Church. Highly entertaining and very bingeable, now that all the episodes are available.
