Ive been having trouble getting youtube as an app as Amazon has their own operating system. Everytime I search google and try that route, I dont have the option for my fire tablet. Wondering why they removed the microphone from the kids side of the keyboard? My son is 6 and although he can read and write well, he likes the microphone for chat on Roblox. So suffice to say, he has been using the administrator side instead of the kids side so ive had to put parental controls and password protect on the admin side. Yes, you can delete apps from device and you can delete apps from cloud. This is done in settings, while logged in as the adult. TO REMOVE only from kids profile: Settings, then go to profiles, then to your child's profile, then manage content. It broke again 5 months later and they would not honor the "2 year worry free guarantee". I spoke with 2 different customer service reps and both of them told me I would have needed to purchase a separate plan. So less than a year after purchasing the tablet the guarantee is no longer valid. Your AMZN account does not need to be active for kids. In security, you can turn all related settings off individually...Amazon, in-app purchases, Alexa, downloads, Internet browser, etc.

I just got the 10 for my oldest grandson and my younger grandson got the 7 a few months prior. They both have DUO and we videochat from that. They use wifi and my son set up an email address for them. They don't have a phone number. I hope this helps you.
