Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This book is a great anthology of pragmatic tips on living, healing and change. It's a quick read with insightful authors with a variety of approaches to healing. If someone is searching for a different approach to healing this is a great read. I'm glad I added it to my collection.
Another ho hum silly I'm healed from my ( fill in the blank trauma ) victim story. This is a regular, all too typical genre (not well written) book from Americans ( I am one) for other simperings. Really, can no one bring anything to the table that is more cohesive , better edited and written and interesting? As an academic and therapist it is disturbing these seemingly, endless books coming out , being heralded as something great when really these voices belong in a al anon ,codependent circles and at home ( and probably , did come from that place and should have remained there). I am not denigrating traumas, sufferings, and inward journeys to healing . They are real, terrible , my objection is the need to publish as if a great tome. This book is NOT! It has become in the 21st c. The "need" and absurd belief that every story personal needs publishing. This is not so. This form of narcissism is rampant in America and really needs to be checked. I'm sure that ms Dunn has suffered, along with the others,I am happy they rejoice in their recoveries. I hope noone bothers to spend their money on this book but encourage them instead to use their 21.00 and add it towards therapy and relevant works of others who may offer something in real healing rather than a sugary, empty calorie read. This is harsh I know. It is better to discourage this low brow form of writing and publishing. The field is littered with this kind of tripe and really save trees from the burden of falling for its existence.
I saw this book was recommended to me a few times on Amazon and the reviews were good so went for it. Very glad I did. Lots of different authors and healing ideas. They all resonated with me and gave me lots of new ideas and things to try.
