I love testimonies. I especially liked this one because it involved the transformation of troubled teens. This pastor was lead by God to do amazing things beyond his traditional pastoral life. I believe God calls us all to step out on faith and do great things in his will. I do agree that the Holy spirit changes a person. However, I have to disagree with the doctrine of speaking in tongues in an incoherent language as proof that you have the Holy Spirit. On the day of Pentacost the disciples spoke in the native languages of the various people there. (Acts 2) It was a known language to the listeners so that they could hear the Gospel in their own language. Sadly, today it is being portrayed as sounds no one can understand. Furthermore, the bible says that some, not all, people will be given the gift of tongues. (1 Corinthians 12:27-28). I believe the teens were transformed with or without the ability to speak in tongues. The Holy Spirit is given to all who put there trust in Christ and repent of their sins . Romans 10:9 -10 says "If you declare with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart he was raised from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." The evidence that you have the Holy Spirit is love, peace, joy, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Galatians 5:22-23. You may see an immediate change in a person, or you may see a gradual maturation. However, the change is the work of the Holy Spirit in his timing.
