5.0 out of 5 starsLife on the deckplates - brings back great memories

As a 30-year officer and an aviator for the first 10 years, our careers were quite different, but I was fortunate enough to work with JJ Moye ashore in Rota Spain where he was the Senior Enlisted Advisor. It was toward the end of his Navy career so I enjoyed some direct benefit of his straight-shooting style, leadership by example and his irrepressibly positive attitude. So, I have a personal connection, but there is a brotherhood of Sailors which makes it easy to relate to his deckplate experience as a young Sailor. His stories sparked memories of my own – mostly fond, many funny and, some willfully embellished and I’m sure, several manufactured or subconsciously edited.
The Master Chief’s Sea Stories is not - A Tom Clancy thriller, John Grisham suspense novel, expose tell all, or back-in-my-day generational bashing.
The Master Chief’s Sea Stories is - an old salt reminiscing and telling some sea stories. A great tonic and a relaxing break from the daily grind, news, TV, and social media.
